ADHD Relief - Natural Methods vs Medication?

How did you overcome ADHD and do you prefer to use natural methods or medication?

The only partial answer to Inattentive ADHD I’ve ever found is using the right stimulant medicine to temporarily reduce Inattentive ADHD. For me, caffeine/caffeine products work better than Ritalin, Dexedrine, or Adderall. All the stimulants, including caffeine, are only partial answers, not 100% cures to ADHD. In my view, most persons ideally prefer natural methods but then discover that the natural methods fail to work so they choose to use the right medication because the medication actually works a little. Try reading educational books like Remarkable Medicine book (Dreyfus), the How To (Temporarily) Cure Hyperactivity book (about proven Inattentive ADHD relief) (Brothers, M.D.; x-ref; Renshaw, M.D.), etc. ADHD, like epilepsy, narcolepsy, brain concussions, sports concussions, is about neurology. Medications work for some with ADHD, not all with ADHD. Ingredients matter. Metaphysically, subjects like concentration and memory (aka thought) are addressed by business writers like Hill, Stone, etc. and New Thought writers like F.S. Shinn, etc.

Over the years, I have changed my approach in discussing ADHD a little.

Changes include:

- Adding brief and to the point ADHD messages
- Adding the clarifying word - temporarily - to:  the How To (Temporarily) Cure Hyperactivity book (about proven, Inattentive ADHD relief) by C. Thomas Wild
- Emphasizing authentic first person accounts, not second party hearsay or trade guild propaganda/non-profit ruses to raise money
- Emphasizing that ingredients in brain-mind medicines matter
- Emphasizing the need for better, full ingredient disclosure labeling for FDA approved medicines and foods
- Highlighting the fact that coffee/caffeine/caffeine products can temporarily reduce ADHD in some persons, not all persons
- Highlighting ideas like organic nutrition, pure water, clean air, exercise, etc.
- Looking at the concept of paying attention using the general ideas of goal setting and other general ideas from part of the New Thought metaphysical movement (words like divine love, kindness, etc.)
- Mentioning educational movies like Awakenings, Fight for Life, Inside Out, Limitless, 50 First Dates, etc.
- Not using footnotes much anymore
- Reminding readers that a Nobel Prize was given to the person who isolated caffeine, Emil Fischer
- Reminding readers that the FDA approved caffeine-medicines which work for me for my Inattentive ADHD reported in my How To book still work for me today, 2020, aka reproducibility is the hallmark of good science
- Reminding readers that ADHD, like epilepsy, narcolepsy, brain concussions, sports concussions, etc. is about neurology
- Substantially reducing the number of recommended educational resources

I was quite surprised that a brain-mind medicine would temporarily improve my ability to pay attention easily that I wrote two educational books about my experience many years ago.  The brain-mind medicines I reported then still work for me today - 2020.
