Can a misunderstanding about ADHD make matters worse?

ADHD, like epilepsy, narcolepsy, etc. is about neurology.

X-ref:

- ADHD
- Brain Concussions, Sports Concussions
- Epilepsy
- Narcolepsy

- Etc.

........

Is it normal for parents to not notice that their kid might have ADHD?

It’s common for parents to not notice their kid might have ADHD or a mild type of epilepsy (absence, etc.) or a very subtle hearing difficulty called CAPD/APD. Also, some parents are afraid of talking about the human brain, mind, neurology and perhaps believe that nothing can be done about it (which, in some cases, is true). Some parents will falsely declare it’s all an allergy or due simply to fluoride in the water. Attentional difficulties can be challenging to understand. Try educational books like: Remarkable Medicine book (Dreyfus), the How To (Temporarily) Cure Hyperactivity book (about Inattentive ADHD relief) (Wild), The Hyperactive Child book (Renshaw), etc. Many parents will choose to treat their child with respect realizing that treating the child as a normal human being is a good option. People are different.
