Complaining About Misinformation In The World of ADHD

The world of ADHD is quite broad.  Over the decades, there have been many newspaper articles about the topic.

Some of these articles contain misinformation about ADHD.

Generally speaking, my approach is not to get involved in pointing out the misinformation.

Part of my approach is that pointing out the errors often means writing a complaint letter of some sort.  One of the problems with this is how short, medium, or long the complaint letter could be especially when the complaint letter could contain information and sources pointing out the errors.

The above process means a well-written complaint letter could take hours and hours to compose and check prior to sending it out.

Bottomline, the time involved can be extensive.

Even when a complaint letter is sent out, there is no guarantee it will be read or that any corrections would be issued at all.

Because of the above, my approach is to generally not send any letters at all.

What I will often do is not mention the flawed article at all in any discussions about ADHD.

At the same time, it is intellectually painful to me to realize that the above is how the ongoing system can work at times.

Caveat emptor.
