Mission Assignment

The mission of C. Thomas Wild is to share what works for his Inattentive ADHD from birth.

C. Thomas Wild is interested in the truth/the ideal of truth about ADHD.  This point-of-view is quite different than special interests who choose to spin data in an effort to monopolize a market or to push certain products for increased profits (Not Invented Here syndrome).

Can the right medicine, for some, temporarily improve vision (eyes), hearing (ears), and gross and fine motor control a little?

Yes.

Caffeine works for some with ADHD;  food additives in FDA approved medicines and foods need better ingredient labels.

Good nutrition is important for everyone.

C. Thomas Wild urges those with ADHD who discover caffeine helps them a little to try different FDA approved medicines and foods as some will work better than others due to the ingredients.  Ingredients matter.

In the How To book above, consumer advocate C. Thomas Wild looks at the American food supply and the American medicine supply and asks key questions about food additives, disclosed ingredients, hidden food additives, and the need for better ingredient labels for FDA approved medicines and foods.

C. Thomas Wild looks at and partially sorts out the mixed messages sent about ingredients in medicines and foods.  C. Thomas Wild addresses aspects of the slogan:  Better Living Through Chemistry.

Ingredients matter.  What are the long term benefits and/or disadvantages of ingredients in medicines and foods?  Intended effects, actual effects, side-effects, adverse effects, etc. are part of the discussion.

Fact:  A number of people in the healthcare industry, grocery business/candy business, etc. were threatened and frightened by an open discussion of ingredients needed to make medicines or foods/candies, etc.  They were threatened because it might cause them to have to rethink and reformulate products which takes time and costs money.  Such a discussion could impact products on their shelves and how fast those products moved.  This, to some of them, was an existential profit threat, so their responses varied, like:

- Business as usual
- Kill the messenger
- Necessary Chemicals vs Unnecessary Chemicals
- Not invented here syndrome
- Etc.

Also, there were phony organizations which falsely mischaracterized some ingredients as poisons (which they were not).  This was misinformation which only muddied the situation.  They didn't care because the false mischaracterizations/scare tactics raised money and that is what they were really interested in, not the truth or pursuit of the truth at all.

- Old slogan:  Follow the money

C. Thomas Wild was brave enough to bring up this topic and discuss it rationally.
